Jerry is an American sports broadcaster from the United States with over 20 years of sports play-by-play announcing experience. He hails from near Washington, D.C., and has provided play-by-play and color commentary for Power 5, mid-major, and low-major college sports conferences and institutions. Jerry has called over 25 Power 5 Conference Championship Events along with NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Games, Women’s National Invitation Tournament Contests, NCAA Men’s College Cup Matchups, and NCAA Women’s College World Series Tilts.

Jerry has demonstrated versatility behind the microphone calling the action in front of or behind the camera as a sports broadcaster for men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track & field, men’s and women’s swimming, men’s diving, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s fencing, men’s and women’s rowing, baseball, softball, women’s volleyball, women’s field hockey, and wrestling. He also served as host of a weekly coach’s radio show along with emceeing various local events such as the Special Olympics and charity auctions.

Besides announcing athletic events for several Division I institutions, various major sports network owned digital platforms and other holders of sports broadcasting rights have utilized his talents. Jerry’s responsibilities also included voicing and producing commercials and promotional material for broadcast sponsors and partners.

Jerry began his broadcast career in college when he began serving as both a color analyst and play-by-play announcer high school football and basketball. He also worked at his university’s Sports Information Department and gained extensive experience in covering events, assisting with statistics, providing assistance to the media, and writing press releases. While working at his college alma mater, he also had the opportunity to provide play-by-play duties for both women’s basketball and baseball games while performing public address announcer duties for several sports. Jerry also hosted multiple radio shows at his school’s on-campus radio station. Also in college, he served as an entertainment reporter and sports anchor for his school’s weekly television program. While finishing school, Jerry served as the morning sports anchor at the local cluster of radio stations while occasionally filling in as host of local sports talk shows.

Additionally, Jerry has been a public address announcer for speedway events along with multiple stints in Minor League Baseball.

Jerry has been involved in calling championship events at the Power 5 level since 2006 and has served as a play-by-play announcer for Olympic Sports at major Division I universities since 2005. The primary sport that he commentates on is women’s basketball; however, he has served as a backup announcer to men’s college basketball at low, mid, and high major levels.

Although he was born and raised in Virginia, Jerry has become a world traveler having visited 37 different countries. While abroad, he enjoys visiting local cafes, meeting and talking with locals, and taking in international sporting events such games from the UEFA Europa and Champions Leagues.

Jerry also enjoys a good road trip, a plane ride in business class, relaxing in airport lounges, staying in hotels overlooking large bodies of water, and celebrating the opportunity to get away in order to live and love life. 

Jerry happily became a dual citizen in August of 2022.
